Peninsula Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu prides itself on offereing the highest quality BJJ instruction available.  Owner and head instructor, Marco Nascimento is a third degree black belt with more than 14 years of teaching experince as a black belt.  Not only does Marco teach all of his classes, but he also drills and sparrs with each and every one of his students.  Anyone from a 7 year old little girl to a black belt world chamion has this rare opportunity.  Nobody is a "star" at Peninsula BJJ...rather. everyone is!   Since his school has grown so much as of late, Marco really encourages his students to take advantage of private and semi-private lessons too, if possible.

 

 

Marco's teaching style is very engaging, with and emphasis on respect for and the safety of one's opponent.  Trust is essential at Peninsula BJJ.....because it is more than just a gym.....we are family.  If you visit us, you will find a warm, personal, safe environment.  We also encourage families to join and train together.  Peninsula Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu guarantees a very rewarding and super fun experience for adults and children of all ages.  Whether you're new to BJJ and just looking for a challenging workout, or if you are a competitive practitioner that's looking to enhance your existing game, Peninsula BJJ is the place for you!

07/06/07 - Marco Nascimento in Gracie Mag!

 

Gracie Magazine's July 4th column featured PBJJ's very own Marco Nascimento.  The article covers information about Peninsula BJJ, our kids summer camp and  Marco's futre plans to compete.

 

 

Here's a snippet from the article.

 

"About his plans, Marco reveals that his competitive fire has been re-kindled. “I intend to carry on competing, and I want to fight at the National in August," he says. This posture of his seems to have caught on with his students, who, according to him, “went to his gym for their health, but ended up competing.” So much so that, at the Pan, Pitbull was represented by eight students – an absurd number, considering the size of the academy."

06/01/08 - KIDS SUMMER CAMP!

 

This class combines Brazilian Jiu- Jitsu with gymnastics the students learning about leverage and techniques with allow a smaller, weaker person to defend them selves against a larger opponent.

04/26/07 - Pan American Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2007 results

 

The 2007 Pan Americans is now complete.

 

 

 

Over 15 people from peninsula BJJ went to Pan Am's to show their support to the team that weekend.

 

 

Seven people actually went to compete in the Pan Am's. Four of the seven coming back with medals and three of the medals being gold - One of the golds belonging to our very own instructor Marco Nascimento! Congratulations to all that went to compete!
